Today the benchmark indices reached new highs. NSE Nifty 50 started at low and was up by 0.75 percent. Nifty near 18760.
Today, the Bank Nifty also opened in red and was up by 0.41 percent. Closed in green at 43231. BSE Sensex was up by 0.67 points and closed in green at a high of 63099.65.
Indian markets extended the up trend and November is one of the best performing months of the current year. The Nifty 50 is up about 8.10 percent year to date, with a 4.14 percent gain in November. However, the S&P 500 US is down 17 percent year to date, but it has gained over 2.2 percent in November.
Furthermore, all Asian currencies are expected to end November higher because of a weaker dollar and expectations of slower Fed interest rate hikes.
Today, the advance-decline ratio was 1.58, and the market breadth was positive. The volatility index India Vix further increased 1.41 percent to settle at 13.81.
